Last Movie Night of the Year!

That's right - we will be having our last movie night on Tuesday, June 16th in the library from 3:30 to 5:30. Our movie will be "The City of Ember," based on a book by Jeanne DuPrau.

This story revolves around the city of Ember, a human settlement that lives in the pitch black, but is also know as the only city with light in a dark world. However, their electrical supply is slowly dying. Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow decode instructions that will lead them to safety in the outside world and perhaps save their city.

Join us for the movie!

Congratulations VP!

Just got the word in! We made $1,092 in profit from our Bookfair. This money will be spent with Scholastic and the books will be put into our library! Thanks for buying from our bookfair. We look forward to next year! Watch for the new books coming out in the fall!

April Movie Night

That's right, we will be having another Movie Night on Tuesday, April 21st in the Library starting at 3:20 sharp. This month we will be featuring the movie "Prince Caspian" from the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. C.S. Lewis was an Irish novelist and very close friend to Lord of the Rings writer J.R.R Tolkien. Lewis wrote "Prince Caspian" in late 1949 and it was first published in 1951. In "Prince Caspian," we find Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy returning to Narnia where they once ruled as kings and queens. Only this time, Narnia has
changed - 1,300 years have passed and Narnia is not the kingdom they once ruled.

Join us for this action packed adventure back into Narnia!

Looking for Volunteers!

Our Spring Scholastic Bookfair is coming up very soon and we are needing volunteers to help us out. There will be a number of things we will need to do from advertising to the actual running of the bookfair. If you are interested in helping out, join me in the library on Monday, March 30th at 3:20 for an information meeting. I will be looking for about 20 volunteers to help out during the week of the bookfair. See you on Monday!
